Brooklyn Cyclones Bark in the Park

It's not every day you can take your dog to a ballgame. But each summer, the Brooklyn Cyclones invite fans to bring their dogs to the annual Bark in the Park baseball game at MCU Park in Coney Island. Cyclones fans and their canine friends have the opportunity for an exciting "dog's day" of fun as the Cyclones take on another area team. Bark in the Park features dog and cat adoptions from Alliance Participating Organizations, a dog parade, and other fun family activities.

Sunday, August 14, 2016

2:00–5:00 p.m.: Pet Adoptions, Dog Licensing & Emergency Preparedness Clinic

4:00 p.m.: Game Begins

MCU Park, 1904 Surf Avenue, Coney Island, Brooklyn, NY

Bring your dog to the ballgame, or come and adopt a new best friend, as the Brooklyn Cyclones take on the 2015 NYPL champions, the West Virginia Black Bears. The stadium's bleacher section — renamed "The BOW-WOW Zone" for the afternoon — will be reserved for those who bring their pooches to the game. The Cyclones will provide water for the dogs in the bleacher seats.

Pet Adoptions!

Meet dogs and cats from Brooklyn's own Sean Casey Animal Rescue on a North Shore Animal League America mobile adoption unit in front of MCU Park, 2:00–5:00 p.m.

Prepare for Emergencies!

Learn how to prepare yourself and your pets for emergencies from representatives from New York City Emergency Management / Ready New York.

Purchase a dog license (required by law in NYC) from the NYC Department of Health. Licenses are $8.50, or $34.00 for dogs who have not been spayed/neutered. (Checks, money orders, and credit/debit cards only. No cash accepted.)

Take home free, personalized pet ID tags, courtesy of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals.

Fun for the Whole Family!

Take part in a pre-game parade around the field with your dog.

Enjoy special performances by Frisbee-chasing canine performers from Pawstars with Erich Steffensen on the field between innings.

Have free photos taken with your pet at the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals photo booth.
