Join the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals each spring/summer for Adoptapalooza — our signature pet adoption extravaganzas! Meet wonderful cats, dogs, and rabbits for adoption, including pure breeds. These free public events also feature activities and entertainment, which might include raffles, training and agility demonstrations, advice on pet health care, training, and grooming, pet photographers, and other fun activities for the whole family — two- and four-legged alike!

Adopt a Pet!

Close to 300 dogs, cats, and rabbits will be available for adoption from over 40 Alliance Participating Organizations. Confirmed shelters and rescue groups include Abandoned Angels Cocker Spaniel Rescue, All About Spay Neuter, Anarchy Animal Rescue, Animal Care & Control of NYC (AC&C), Animal Haven, The Animal Project, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons (ARF), Anjellicle Cats Rescue, ASPCA, Best Bullies, Bideawee, Bronx Tails Cat Rescue, Brooklyn Bridge Animal Welfare Coalition, Bully Project, City Critters, Inc., Empty Cages Collective, Four Paws Sake, NYC, Frankie's Fund for Feline Care and Rescue, Grateful Greyhounds , GRROWLS (Golden Retriever Rescue Operated With Love Statewide), HEART Rescue Group, Husky House, Infinite Hope, K9Kastle, KittyKind, Linda's Cat Assistance, Long Island Bulldog Rescue, Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue, Mighty Mutts & Ollie's Place, Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, NYC Metro Rabbit, The Patricia H. Purchase a dog license (required by law in NYC) from the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

Kids' Korner with face painting, glitter tattoos, and beaded bracelets, hosted by Rock & Rawhide.
