Are you and your pets prepared for a hurricane, flood, or other disaster, either natural or man-made? Last month’s brush with Hurricane Irene sent a wake-up call to many New Yorkers, forcing them to confront the realities of emergency planning to ensure their safety — and the safety of their pets — when an emergency strikes.

Find out how you can get prepared at the One-Stop Shop for Pet Preparedness event on Monday, September 26, 3:30–7:00 p.m., in Union Square.

Bring your dogs and/or cats (cats in carriers, please) with you, and take important steps — most at no charge to you — to get prepared, including:

  • FREE Microchipping
  • FREE Rabies Vaccination
  • FREE Identification Tags
  • Dog Licensing: $8.50 for dogs that have been spayed or neutered (bring proof of spay/neuter); $34 for intact dogs (bring your checkbook or credit card)
