Broadway Barks 9 a Big Hit!
Then Broadway Barks 9! grabbed the media's attention as stars Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore welcomed dogs and cats from a range of shelters and rescue groups — many of them members of the Mayor's Alliance — to join a host of Broadway stars for the legendary annual adoption event in Manhattan's Shubert Alley.

Transport Van Gives Lamb a Lift
The Mayor's Alliance transport van program received important coverage in June by NY1 and other media when Lucky Lady, a seven-month-old lamb found loose in the Bronx and brought to Animal Care & Control, got a lifesaving lift north, to Farm Sanctuary, in the Alliance transport van.

NYer of the Week
When NY1 named its "NYer of the Week" Dr. Dan Lauridia of Murray Hill Pet Hospital, a Mayor's Alliance veterinary partner that treats many of the Picasso Veterinary Fund animals, the Mayor's Alliance and NYC's shelter animals gained broad exposure and recognition among New Yorkers. The story recognizing Dr. Dan's work on behalf of shelter animals ran over 12 times during the week following July 4th.

A Special Thank-You to Gothamist…
The good folks at Gothamist, the most popular local blog in NYC, have begun running free ads on their blog to help promote the Mayor's Alliance's work. The ad is on rotation and will be running for an undetermined amount of time, as a public service announcement.
The copy reads: "The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals looks forward to the day where no NYC dog or cat of reasonable health and temperament is killed merely because he or she does not have a home. Visit www.AnimalAllianceNYC.org to learn about adoption, volunteering, donation, and more." To view the ad, visit www.gothamist.com.
The Mayor's Alliance wishes to acknowledge the team at M. Silver Associates for all they do to gain important media exposure for the Mayor's Alliance, it mission and programs, and the work done by its participating organizations for NYC's homeless animals. The media is invited to contact Patrick Kwan at M. Silver Associates at patrick@msilver-pr.com.
