Adoption is City's Pet Project
by Frankie Edozien, New
York Post

The Bloomberg administration will begin a push for more
animal adoptions — hosting adoption fairs in city parks for the first
time, administration officials said yesterday.
Details remain to be worked out, but an agreement signed
by the Center for Animal Care and Control and the Mayor's Alliance for
New York City's Animals will bring pet adoptions fairs to parks around
the five boroughs. Other city agencies — such as the health department — will also take part. "As a result of this historic agreement,
New York City's public spaces will soon be a showcase for all the wonderful
little four-footed New Yorkers who want nothing more than the opportunity
to be someone's new best friend," said Jane Hoffman, president of
the alliance.
