Rose Blooms Anew, and Now She Needs a Home
Picasso Veterinary Fund in Action! (July 2009)
Four-year-old Rose arrived at the Animal
Medical Center (AMC) in March, brought in by a Good Samaritan
who had found the injured calico on the street. Rose's leg was fractured,
and with no place to call home, she was headed for the city shelter.
But an AMC administrator contacted the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's
Animals because she felt this sweet cat would make a wonderful companion
for someone, and deserved a second chance.
The Mayor's Alliance agreed to accept Rose into
its Picasso Veterinary Fund program,
and paid for Rose's surgery at AMC to repair her fractured leg.
Following the surgery, Rose was transferred to Murray
Hill Pet Hospital, another Mayor's Alliance veterinary partner,
where she underwent physical therapy. Now her leg has completely
healed. She has been spayed and microchipped, and is up-to-date
on all of her shots. All
Rose needs now is a loving home!

Now completely healed, Rose
is ready for adoption. |

If you or someone you know wants to make this sweet
calico a permanent member of the family, please let us know by contacting
us at Picasso@AnimalAllianceNYC.org.
You can read more about Rose and many of the other beautiful Picasso
cats and dogs awaiting adoption by visiting our Petfinder
page.
Even if you're not looking to adopt right now, you
can help in other ways. Perhaps you can provide a temporary foster
home for one of our beautiful Picasso animals who is awaiting adoption.
If that interests you, please e-mail us at Picasso@AnimalAllianceNYC.org.
You also can join our Picasso family by making a tax-deductible
donation that will allow us to provide medical care for more animals
like Rose, who need only a little help to get back on course for
a good future. Make a convenient online
donation.
In whatever ways you chose to help, rest assured
that Rose and all her Picasso buddies are greatly appreciative!
