AC&C Emergency Rescue Dispatch

Emergency Rescue of cats in New York City is handled by Animal Care & Control of New York City, also known as AC&C. AC&C is not the ASPCA.

Animal Care & Control Rescue Dispatch can be reached Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at (212) 788-4000. Due to the high volume of calls, it may take a few minutes for an operator to pick up. Please do not hang up — someone will eventually come on the line.

If you want to adopt or foster the cat after it has been rescued and treated by an AC&C veterinarian, please advise the Rescue Driver at the time of pick-up and get the pick-up report number from the driver.
