Straw Insulation for Winter Shelters:

Straw for Winter Shelters

Straw is our reccomended insulation for feral cat winter shelters. It can be found at garden supply stores and horse barns. Be careful not to get hay, as hay contains mositure. You can purchase straw in "bales" which will be enough for several shelters, so you may want to combine your purchase with friends. You can even mail order straw from FeralVilla which is sold in smaller quantites than a bale.
