Socializing Feral Kittens Part I:
10 Weeks & Under

Kitten Palooza! is a three-part series of workshops on working with kittens as part of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) projects. In this first of the three workshops, learn the techniques, tips, and tricks used to socialize young feral kittens into adoptable pets. Includes a screening of the Urban Cat League DVD Tough Love: Socializing Feral Kittens and kitten trapping techniques. Note: Attendees must be willing to attend a hands-on mentoring session with a foster home in the weeks or months following the workshop.

Socializing Feral Kittens Part II:
3 Months & Older

Kitten Palooza! is a three-part series of workshops on working with kittens as part of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) projects. Feral kittens older than 10 weeks pose special challenges to those attempting to socialize (tame) them for adoption into an indoor home. These challenges vary by age and individual disposition. Come learn the special techniques used to socialize older feral kittens in this second workshop in the series. Includes a screening of the Urban Cat League DVD Tough Love: Socializing Feral Kittens. Note: Attendees must be willing to attend a hands-on mentoring session with a foster home in the weeks or months following the workshop.

Kitten Palooza!
Bottle Babies:
Proper Care of Orphaned Kittens

Kitten Palooza! is a three-part series of workshops on working with kittens as part of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) projects. In this final of the three workshops, learn the skills needed to successfully bottle-feed and care for orphaned kittens. The workshop will cover which equipment and formula get the best results, bottle-feeding technique, and all stages of kitten care. Note: Attendees must be willing to attend a hands-on mentoring session with a foster home in the weeks or months following the workshop.

Registration

There is no fee to attend the Kitten Palooza! workshops, but advance registration is required. Registration for the May 17 workshops opens on April 1, and registration for the June 18 workshop opens May 1. To request a spot, send an e-mail with your first and last name, organization (if applicable), and the name/date of the workshop in the subject line, to events@NYCFeralCat.org. Only those who are awarded a spot will receive a reply. If you do not receive a reply, it means that all spots are filled. A limited number of spots are available. Spots are non-transferable — if you need to cancel, you can not give your spot away, it will go to the next person on the list.
