Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists Food Drive Benefits Mayor's Alliance Groups

Although the 2007 year-end holidays are now far behind, the generosity of Fifth Avenue Veterinary Specialists (FAVS), its clients, and pet food supplier was felt well into the new year by some Mayor's Alliance Participating Organizations (APOs). The specialty hospital's 2007 holiday pet food drive drew donations from the hospital's clients as well as the Hill's company that supplies much of the hospital's pet food.

By the end of the drive, 320 pounds of dry dog food, 200 pounds of dry cat food, 20 cases of canned cat food, six cases of canned dog food, 15 bags of pet treats, and assorted toys and blankets had been collected. The food and supplies were distributed to APOs in all five boroughs of NYC.

The Mayor's Alliance is grateful to FAVS for the hospital's continuing support of the Mayor's Alliance and its participating organizations, and for its compassionate medical care for many of the cats and dogs treated through the Picasso Veterinary Fund.
