Shelter: Wednesday, October 4, 2006 7:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m. Hiro Ballroom, Maritime Hotel, 363 West 16th Street (at 9th Avenue), Manhattan Rockers will be rockin' for the animals when music stars take the stage at NYC's second annual rock benefit concert to celebrate animal rescue and to cheer on all New Yorkers working towards a no-kill NYC. Join the Beastie Boys, Blue Oyster Cult, The Choke, Debbie Harry, The Duelling Bankheads, Joe Hurley and the Gents, Miss Guy, Marshall Crenshaw, More, Murray Weinstock, Nellie McKay, Sic F*cks, The Star Spangles, and more for this not-to-be-missed rock event! As a part of this tribute to NYC animal rescue, adoptable animals from the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals member organizations will appear via video montage on the big screen!
