Humane Community Leaders Share Experience at Humane Leadership Academy

This learning event on July 9 provides opportunities to learn from some of today's leaders in the humane community.

On Sunday, July 9, 2006, Bodhi Tree Festivals presents the Humane Leadership Academy in New York City. This learning event, sponsored by the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, the ASPCA, the Humane Society of the United States, and In Defense of Animals, offers participants the opportunity to learn from some of today's leaders in the humane community.

The one-day program includes featured speakers and a roundtable discussion, and various workshops designed to address a range of topics for varied interests, including animal campaigns, collaborations, humane education, and leadership development. Book signings and a vegan lunch also are included.

Jane Hoffman, President of the Mayor's Alliance, will speak about Humane Leadership and screen the Mayor's Alliance video, "A Collaboration for Life."

The conference will take place on Sunday, July 9, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. at the SLC Conference Center, 352 Seventh Avenue (at West 30th Street), 16th floor, in Manhattan.
