More Broadway Support for the Alliance
The Lieutenant of Inishmore Helps Raise
Funds for NYC's Animals
The producers of one of Broadway's smartest new
shows — The Lieutenant of Inishmore — have
shown they care about NYC's homeless animals. Recently they provided
the Mayor's Alliance with vouchers for free tickets to the show
that were raffled at Mayor's Alliance/Maddie's Pet Adoption Festivals.
Funds raised from the raffles were donated to the Picasso
Veterinary Fund, administered by the Mayor's Alliance.
The Lieutenant of Inishmore is described
as "the stunningly funny tale of a ruthless Irish Liberation
Army enforcer and the one thing he loves more than anything else
in the world — his little black cat, Wee Thomas. It's a wickedly
hilarious event that must be seen to be believed. Think a combination
of Tarantino and Monty Python. And it all builds to a stunning surprise
that has audiences laughing in disbelief."
The Mayor's Alliance extends its appreciation to
the producers of The Lieutenant of Inishmore for their
support for NYC's homeless animals.
