A new Mayor's Alliance ad appearing on bus shelters is alerting New Yorkers to the importance of licensing their dogs.

A striking new ad urging New Yorkers to license their dogs is appearing on 40 bus shelters in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx, thanks to a collaborative effort by the Mayor's Alliance and NYC's Department of Health & Mental Hygiene.

The ad was conceived and designed for the Mayor's Alliance by Jay Sharfstein and Chris Brignola of Filter Advertising — the same ad agency that developed the "Vacancy" adoption ad campaign that debuted on Go-Posters throughout NYC in 2005. The dog licensing campaign was launched in March and will run for two months.

Maddie's Spay/Neuter Project in NYC Hits the Radio Waves

The Maddie's Spay/Neuter Project in NYC is receiving daily radio play on WABC Radio, Radio Disney, and ESPN. A 30-second spot promoting the low-cost spay/neuter program for pets of NYC residents who have a Medicaid card has helped to increase threefold the number of New Yorkers who are taking advantage of the program over last year.

The Mayor's Alliance is grateful to WABC's Bunny Hofberg, who coordinated the production of the PSA and ensures it receives routine air play.
