A Big Thanks
Iams Company Supports Mayor's Alliance with Huge
Cat Food Donation
Thank you, Iams!
The Iams Company, one of the leading providers of
world-class quality foods and pet care products, made an impressive
show of support to the Mayor's Alliance and its participating
organizations (APOs) with a donation of Iams cat food.
Five pallets of canned food, each weighing 1,600
pounds, were delivered to a Mayor's Alliance storage facility in
March. The Alliance's Director of Programs, Janell Granier, got
the word out to APOs throughout the city to identify the organizations
interested in receiving supplies of cat food. More than 20 groups
responded, and all received supplies of food. Most of the food was
delivered directly to the APOs by Janell and Alliance President
Jane Hoffman.

The Iams Company donated 8,000
pounds of cat food to Mayor's Alliance APOs last month. |

The Mayor's Alliance extends its appreciation to
the Iams Company for its generosity in providing the food. The Alliance
also sends a special thanks to Allene Tartaglia of the Cat Fancier's
Association for so carefully arranging the donation. The Cat Fancier's
Association has been extremely supportive of the Mayor's Alliance,
particularly in making the Adopt-A-Cat events (associated with the
annual CFA Cat Show) at Madison Square Garden so successful. This
year the cat adoption event will span two days, October 8 and 9.

Events page for more information.
