APO Wish List

NYC shelters and rescue groups can use your help with donations of food, supplies, and more. Current requests include:

New York City Animal Care & Control (CACC)Animal Care & Control of New York City (AC&C)

AC&C needs towels and blankets at all three locations. If you or anyone you know has any towels or blankets to donate, please take the following steps. The cats and dogs in AC&C's care will greatly appreciate your donation!

To donate:

1)  

Wash the towels or blankets.

2)  

Write a short note that says the donation is being made at the request of the Mayor's Alliance. Include the note in the top of the package of donated items.

3)  

Deliver or send the package to one of the addresses listed below. If you are dropping off the package, make sure the shelter manager's name (given below with address) is printed on the outside of the package. That will ensure that your package goes to the area of the shelter where it is most needed.

Donations of cat food, kitten food, towels, and small carriers are needed.

Wish list includes a donated "space" for a year-round flea market, a car, two-drawer file cabinets, towels and sheets, clean cat carriers, Iams Dry Food (original flavor preferred by cats), Iams Kitten Dry Food, Iams canned kitten food (purple can), and Mother Hubbard canned food (chicken or turkey).

Paper and plastic goods, such as rolls of paper towels, plastic bowls, and spoons would also be appreciated.

Most welcome would be towels, collars and leashes, pet beds, crates, toys, scratching posts, cat condos, and dog and cat food.

Most useful would be thrift shop items: gently used clothing, collectibles, knick-knacks, vases, pottery, art, jewelry, and books of value.

Volunteers are also needed to help in Upper East Side Thrift Shop.

Volunteers Needed!

Volunteers are needed to provide foster care for dogs or cats; transport dogs or cats in your own car; take public transportation and transport small dogs or cats; check references; perform home visits; take photos of adoptable dogs or cats; walk dogs in College Point, NY.
