"A" Team Will Run in NYC Marathon to Raise
Funds for NYC's Homeless Animals
This
year's ING New York City Marathon provides an exciting opportunity
to support NYC's homeless animals. Runners from the ASPCA, including
Senior Vice President and Chief of Operations Stephen Musso and
Manager for Special Events for ASPCA Cares Allison Cardona, invite
you to join them on the "A" team" in the 26.2 mile
run through five boroughs on Sunday, November 7. All proceeds received
from sponsors of the "A" team will be used to fund the
ASPCA's support of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals.
You can be a part of this important fund-raising
effort for NYC's animals in several ways:
• | Run with the "A"
team! If you're planning to run in the NYC Marathon,
join the ASPCA's team. The ASPCA hopes to assemble a
team of 10 or more marathoners to increase the likelihood
of capturing media attention. Please contact Gillian Austin
at (212) 876-7700 x4518 or gilliana@aspca.org. |
| • |
Gather your own sponsors. If
you're running in the marathon and would like your own
web page to raise money for the ASPCA, contact Gillian Austin
at (212) 876-7700 x4518 or gilliana@aspca.org.
And be sure to invite your friends and family to sponsor you! |
| • |
Join the online
pledge campaign. You can sponsor the "A" team
or someone you know who's participating in the marathon.
It's easy, and your contribution will help NYC's
homeless animals. |
• |
Show up and cheer the "A" team
to success! Gather with friends, family and other ASPCA supporters
along the race route and lend cheerful support for the "A"
team, and everyone else who is running in support of NYC's
animals. If you'd like to join an existing group to cheer
on the runners, please e-mail the Alliance at info@AnimalAllianceNYC.org.
