With nearly two months of summer remaining, you'll have plenty of opportunities to meet your new best friend at a Mayor's Alliance summer event. If you already have a dog or two, you can bring them along with you to share the summer fun!

Low-cost microchipping ($25, includes insertion and registration) for cats and dogs by the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals. Pet adoptions by Sean Casey Animal Rescue, Animal Care & Control of NYC (AC&C), Tavi & Friends, and City Pitties. Also, visit the Animal Emergency Preparedness tent to get your free Pet Go Bag and learn about how you can prepare yourself and your pets for an emergency from representatives from the NYC Office of Emergency Management, Veterinary Emergency Response Team (VERT), the ASPCA, and others.

Brooklyn Cyclones "Bark in the Park"

4:00–9:00 p.m.: Pet adoptions and low-cost microchipping clinic

6:30 p.m.: Ceremonial first pitch by the Maddie's Fund mascot

7:00 p.m.: Game begins

MCU Park (formerly KeySpan Park), 1904 Surf Avenue, Coney Island, Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Cyclones invite canine lovers to bring their dogs to the annual "Bark in the Park" baseball game at MCU Park (formerly KeySpan Park) in Brooklyn. Baseball fans and their canine friends will have the opportunity for an exciting "dogs day" of fun as the Cyclones play the Hudson Valley Renegades. The bleacher section of the stadium will be reserved for those who bring their pooches to the game. Dogs and cats will be available for adoption from Sean Casey Animal Rescue on a North Shore Animal League America mobile adoption unit parked in front of the ballpark. Low-cost ($25, includes insertion and registration) dog and cat microchipping for both ballpark guests and the public will be offered.

Washington Square Park, Manhattan

Adoptapalooza is back! This family event features dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens for adoption on North Shore Animal League America mobile adoption units from Animal Care & Control of NYC (AC&C), Sean Casey Animal Rescue, and the Picasso Veterinary Fund of the Mayor's Alliance. Plus, dogs from several different pure breed dog rescue groups will also be available for adoption. This free public event will also feature a cool raffle drawing, pet photographer, Ask-the-Vet, Ask-the-Trainer, and other fun activities for all family members — two- and four-legged alike!
