Maddie's "Adopt Me" Vests
|
Produced by Dogbooties.com,
orange "Adopt Me" vests are great tools for
APOs and foster care providers to use to identify adoptable
animals. |
|
Orange "Adopt Me" vests have proven to
be a great tool for identifying adoptable animals. Many animal shelters
and rescue organizations deck out their adoptable dogs when walking
them in public or showing them at adoption events. Foster people
slip them onto their foster dogs when walking them in the park.
A vest signals to potential adopters that the dog is available for
adoption, or simply prompts a conversation that leads a potential
adopter to a nearby shelter or rescue group.
Dogbooties.com produces the "Adopt Me"
vests used by the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals and its numerous
member organizations. These vests feature the Maddie's Fund logo
(pictured above). Two sizes are available to Alliance Participating
Organizations — large and medium. Most dogs can be outfitted
in one of these two sizes.
The large vests are 18 inches wide, with a 23-inch
Velcro strap. This size fits a girth of up to 40 inches.
The medium vests are 11 inches wide, with an 18-inch
Velcro strap. It fits a girth of up to 28 inches.
