•

It's good for your pet's health. A pet that has been spayed or neutered has a decreased chance of developing certain health problems, such as cancer, later in life.

•

It can improve behavioral issues. Certain kinds of aggressive behaviors can be curbed by neutering a pet.

•

It eliminates the chance of unwanted pregnancies. With thousands of dogs and cats in New York City alone ending up in shelters being euthanized for lack of loving homes, spaying and neutering is the best way to ensure that your pet doesn't add to the city's pet overpopulation problem.
