Friday, March 26, 2010

7:00–10:00 p.m.

New York Open Center, 22 East 30th Street, Manhattan

The chakras, the energy centers of the human body in the yogic tradition, now widely known in our culture, also exist in animals. Margrit Coates has unrivalled experience working with animal chakras in hands-on healing. This evening she will explain the function and structure of animals' chakras and share techniques we can use to: sense energy flowing through an animal's body; "read" its chakras; balance its mental, emotional and physical energies; provide healing treatments using the animal's chakra system; assess their condition by observing body tone, hair, muscles, respiratory rate, and stretching and shaking behaviors; and more. Come discover how to develop or enhance your animal communication skills and acquire healing techniques to ease the life of your four-legged companion. Registration is $25 for members, $30 for non-members.

For more information or to register, contact New York Open Center at (212) 219-2527 x2 or info@opencenter.org, or visit the New York Open Center website.

New York Open Center: Hands-on Healing for Animals

Saturday, March 27, 2010

10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.

New York Open Center, 22 East 30th Street, Manhattan

Learn how to analyze your companion animals' mental, emotional, and physical condition by reading their unique subtle energy patterns to be able to better communicate intuitively with them and to help heal them of a wide range of ailments. The material covered will include how to: match the inner stillness and presence of animals to get “"in tune" with them and sense their energy flow; learn to differentiate between our own thoughts and feelings and actual non-verbal messages we get from a pet, thereby radically improving our interspecies communication skills; continue to work with an animal's eight major chakras to address specific conditions; send healing to an animal at a distance; use emergency "spiritual" first aid techniques in stressful situations; and lessen the suffering of terminally ill animals, cope with their loss, and continue the healing relationship after their death. Taught by Margrit Coates. Registration is $120 for members, $130 for non-members.

For more information or to register, contact New York Open Center at (212) 219-2527 x2 or info@opencenter.org, or visit the New York Open Center website.

April 17–21, 2010 (five-day training)

Saturday: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Sunday–Tuesday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

New York Open Center, 22 East 30th Street, Manhattan

For those interested in becoming Tellington TTouch practitioners, this five-day foundational training is the first step.

TTouch is a bodywork method based on circular movements of the fingers and hands on the skin. It is designed to activate the body’s deep cellular intelligence so that it can release stored memories of pain and fear that block energy and cause illness. Come learn this gentle but highly effective way of helping keep animals healthy and happy, and reducing their stress, thereby resulting in happier, more sociable pets with fewer medical and behavioral concerns. Participants develop new insights into how animals learn, discovering many more approaches to choose from when coping with difficulties, and coming away knowing that they can make a difference in the lives of animals. Note: This training will count towards the Practitioner Training Program for those interested in pursuing a career with Tellington TTouch. You can come to the training with or without an animal. Taught by Edie Jane Eaton. Registration is $600 for members, $650 for non-members.

For more information or to register, contact New York Open Center at (212) 219-2527 x2 or info@opencenter.org, or visit the New York Open Center website.
