Island Labrador Retriever Rescue
Long Island Labrador Retriever Rescue (LILRR) rescues
and places Labrador Retrievers in new homes. Labradors rescued by
LILRR are cared for by breed-knowledgeable foster volunteers within
their own homes. Rescued Labs receive a thorough vet exam upon entry
and to best determine appropriate placement, and they are also assessed
for behavior and training over a six- to eight-week period before
being considered for adoption. Labs leave LILRR spayed/neutered,
up to date on inoculations, tested for heartworm, microchipped,
and freshly groomed.
Long Island Labrador Retriever Rescue is a member
of the New York Breed Rescue
Network of the Mayor's Alliance.
