Greyhound Rescue NYC (IGRNYC)
Italian Greyhound Rescue NYC (IGRNYC) is a service
provided for Italian Greyhounds that have been abandoned at animal
shelters, taken from abusive homes, or surrendered by their owners.
These displaced Italian Greyhounds are fostered in member homes,
where their health and temperament are evaluated. All dogs are taken
for a veterinary check-up: vaccinations are updated, the animal
is neutered/spayed and, if necessary, its teeth are cleaned. Each
Italian Greyhound is evaluated so that it can be placed in a home
suitable to both the dog and new owners.
Italian Greyhound Rescue NYC is a member of the
New York Breed Rescue Network
of the Mayor's Alliance.
