German Shorthaired Pointer Club Rescue Program
The Eastern German Shorthaired Pointer Club (EGSPC)
Rescue Program is a small group of EGSPC volunteers dedicated to
finding homes for lost or surrendered German Shorthaired Pointers
(GSPs). As there are other dedicated GSP rescue groups in New York,
Pennsylvania, and Maryland, they focus their efforts in the state
of New Jersey, while working cooperatively to help GSPs in eastern
Pennsylvania and southern New York. GSPs in their program come from
many different situations, but most come from animal shelters where
they were found as strays or were abandoned, or they are surrendered
directly by their owners. In the case of an owner surrender they
do our best to help the owner work through the problems they may
be having with their GSP before making the final decision to surrender
their dog.
Eastern German Shorthaired Pointer Club Rescue
Program is a member of the New
York Breed Rescue Network of the Mayor's Alliance.
