Betsy's
Cocker Place
Betsy's Cocker Place celebrate the lives and health
of Cocker Spaniels — American or English — and assists
those Cockers in need of care, whether in their homes, in shelters,
or in a Cocker rescue program. They are involved in conformation,
obedience, agility, tracking, fly-ball, rally-o, rescue, therapy,
and just about every other aspect of canine activity and care. While
working for and with other Cocker rescues, Betsy's Cocker Place
participants came to realize that many people give up their Cockers
because they simply do not have the funds for veterinary and other
essential care. They are now raising funds to help Cockers in need
in any way possible — medical/veterinary, fostering, re-homing,
or other care, whether they are in rescue, shelters, or remaining
in a happy home where just a little extra help is needed to cover
care expenses. In addition, they take Cocker Spaniels from the State
of Connecticut into their rescue and adoption program, and they
assist other Cocker Spaniel rescues financially through their subsidiary,
CARA Fund.
Betsy's Cocker Place is a member of the New
York Breed Rescue Network of the Mayor's Alliance.
